Women's Fashion and Design Week (WFDW), powered by the Wonder Woman Initiative is back this year, taking place March 6th-9th, 2025. This year's theme, "THE THRESHOLD," explores the transformative power of design and the pivotal moments that pave the way for new beginnings and positive change. WFDW 2025 will bring together changemakers, designers, and industry leaders to celebrate women's voices and drive social progress.
WFDW goes beyond the boundaries of traditional fashion and design events, using its platform to promote social change and amplify the voices of women. This year's event will feature a dynamic lineup of activities, including a business strategy retreat, a meet-and-greet with influencers, a grand show and awards ceremony, and a culminating brunch.
Event Highlights:
Day 1: Wonder Woman Emerge Retreat: A one-day business strategy retreat in partnership with the Florida State Minority Supplier Development Council (FSMSDC) at the luxurious Betsy Hotel in South Beach. This retreat will offer strategic masterminds, expert guidance, skill-building panel discussions, funding and certification pathways, and networking opportunities for women entrepreneurs.
Day 2: Meet & Greet with Changemakers: An exclusive opportunity to connect with press, media, changemakers, and influencers who are driving positive change in their communities.
Day 3: Grand Show & Awards: The highlight of WFDW, featuring runway shows with visionary designers like Melony Huber of La Peony Clothing Mercedes Brunelli of Mercedes Brunelli Collections, Tayo Ishola Aranmolate of I Am Eido and more, along with inspiring stories, dance and musical performances, Spanish fusion cuisine, and an awards ceremony honoring influential women like Jené Luciani Sena, Brooke Mullen, and Sherrel Sampson.
Day 4: Women of Influence Brunch: An elegant finale at El Patio Miami Beach, offering attendees a chance to connect with fellow changemakers, forge partnerships, and celebrate the accomplishments of remarkable women.
"Threshold" signifies the liminal space where beginnings take root, and where the ripple effects of change begin to unfold. WFDW 2025 embraces this potent theme, recognizing the unexpected beauty that can emerge from disruption. The event will explore how design can be a catalyst for transformation, empowering women to push beyond boundaries and create the future they envision.
